Mission Statement
Our mission at Kingston Analytical Services Toxicology is to contribute to road safety by providing meticulous toxicological analysis of s5a road traffic blood samples. We are dedicated to upholding the highest standards of accuracy, integrity, and efficiency in our processes to support the legal and medical communities in making informed decisions.
Our History
Founded in 2020, KAST is a branch of Kingston Analytical Services offered by Kingston University Enterprises Ltd. With a team of talented scientists, Brian proposed the idea of creating KAST, a toxicology service offered to external clients for the purpose of Road Traffic testing. Together with experienced academics at the university, KAST became operational with an original team of three scientists.
Since then, KAST has grown to a team of nine highly skilled scientists covering all business operations. Most recently, the team has worked tirelessly to prepare the laboratory for the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS) accreditation visits.
Our Expertise
With a team of experienced professionals and state-of-the-art technology, Kingston Analytical is equipped to handle the complexities of toxicological analysis with precision. Our expertise extends beyond meeting regulatory requirements; we aim to be a trusted partner for legal professionals, law enforcement, and healthcare providers seeking reliable toxicology services.
Collaborations
As a part of the university, KAST frequently invites BSc and MSc students into the laboratory to complete their penultimate research projects. Allowing students to gain hands-on experience and familiarity with day-to-day toxicology laboratory analysis.
We also specialise in the development and validation of bespoke analytical methods that we provide to industry partners to allow you to expand your testing suite rapidly and efficiently. Our research practitioners have a proven track record of producing cost-effective methods to detect the following analytes:
- Synthetic cannabinoids from biological samples
